Job Description

Reports To: Program Manager Amy Granda

Location: Greater Minnesota
FLSA Status: Hourly wage

Full time – 40 hours a week, work remotely. Contract for 2023- May be extended pending on the grant status

SUMMARY

Coordinate and collaborate with MDH, local public health, tribal health, community health clinics, or other entities that are providing COVID-19 vaccines and wraparound services, including the MDH’s COVID Community Coordinator contractors, to promote vaccine events and other COVID-19 recovery resources and services.
May conduct as Deaf Interpreter/ASL translator and provides the translation service from English to ASL and ASL to English.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage grant projects, budgets, and reports
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
  • Implement crisis communication plan and delivered key messaging, as needed.
  • May need to attend resource fairs, events, and expos on behalf of organization.
  • Responsible for data entry of the individual and the community issues and resolutions.
  • May need to travel more than 200 miles as needed
  • Other administrative and service support duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining access in the Greater Minnesota area

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office suite.
  • Pleasant and friendly telephone/videophone/email demeanor and exceptional customer communication, follow-up and service skills a MUST.
  • Possesses attention to detail and organization skills required
  • Skilled in juggling multiple schedules in a real-time environment.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information and comply with HIPAA and other privacy requirements
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal, written and in electronic instant messaging, email and online web forums with consumers and end users
  • Ability to work with non-deaf, Deaf, hard of hearing, Deaf-Blind communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge or experience in Interpreter services fields and/or supporting consumer products and services to the Interpreters, Deaf, hard of hearing, and Deaf-Blind communities
  • Must be fluent in American Sign Language and multicultural
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Available to work after hours and weekends, as needed
  • Preferred a resident of the Greater Minnesota area
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to travel in Greater Minnesota

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position operates in an office environment, regularly working in indoor conditions and on a computer and high phone, videophone, chat and email usage. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and walk must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Walk must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
